New and Improved for 2017!

Now that 2016 is a memory, we wanted to take a moment to express our heartfelt appreciation to all of younew photocockpit-before wonderful guests that made our second season as NW Sailing Adventures a smashing success.

With the arrival of autumn, our San Juan Island cruising season has wound down and we’ve began work on a number of improvements to enhance Diminuendo’s appearance and our guest’s comfort. Gone is the tired old teak in the cockpit, replaced with Permateek, a synthetic product that provides a clean, fresh look while not contributing to 20160502_154408teak forests. The settee and dinette cushions in the saloon are currently being reupholstered. We added memory foam mattress toppers in the guest cabins, giving your bunks a homelike bed feel. And our guests really enjoyed exploring the coves and islands courtesy of our two new kayaks! On a less glamorous note, Ron replaced the Marine Sanitation Device (toilet) in the guest head (bathroom) with a state of the art fresh water electric flush unit. No more confusing lessons on how to flush! While he was at it, he installed a new holding (sewage) tank, doubling the  capacity. As soon as the weather warms up enough, We’ll have her hauled out for semi annual maintenance that cannot be done while she’s in the water.

We’d also like to thank our guests who have taken the time to add someMay 1 - May 3, 2016 138 great reviews to Yelp, Google and Trip Advisor. Please check them out—and add to them if you wish! Like us on Facebook and keep up with our latest news and sailing adventures! And check out our updated web site (nwsailing.com) that now includes some of the many great photos we’ve taken as well as some of those our chartered sailing adventure guests have graciously offered to share. We have also been working on a new corporate logo that we hope captures the essence of cruising with NW Sailing.turnpoint20160522_192919nice boat
