San Juan Island Chartered Sailboat Vacations
Sailing Vessel Diminuendo
Diminuendo is a Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 43 Deck salon. Her design strikes the perfect balance of size, features, and performance. You will find her accommodations very comfortable. She exhibits excellent sailing characteristics in most weather conditions, or she cruises comfortably and quietly under power when the winds fail her. Her moderate size allows her to venture into small, remote coves beyond the reach of many larger vessels
Diminuendo’s roomy cockpit has adequate seating for up to six guests plus your crew.
She has a canvas dodger, and a bimini (awning), which protects you from the elements yet still allows you to experience the scenic wonders around you unhindered. The spacious foredeck also offers abundant room to stretch out and bask in the sun.
Her step-through transom allows easy access to the swim step from which you’ll board her kayaks or her rigid inflatable dinghy, with which you’ll be whisked ashore for a little hiking or beach-combing. More adventurous travelers may brave a quick dip in the cold waters of Puget Sound. Below the deck, you’ll find an open, airy, comfortable main saloon with generous headroom, abundant sunlight, and excellent visibility in all directions. This is one of the best features of the Jeanneau 43DS. A dinette is a great place for guests to gather for coffee and storytelling. Adjoining the saloon is a well-equipped galley where your crew will prepare your gourmet meals. Although rarely needed, Diminuendo is equipped with a diesel furnace for chilly spring or autumn mornings.
Aft of the saloon is two large guest cabins. The full/queen-size beds have luxurious linens and comforters, extra blankets, and no less than 4 pillows per cabin. Adjacent to and adjoining the aft port cabin is the guest head (restroom) with a state-of-the-art electric flush toilet, sink, and a separate hot water shower. Forward is yet another double cabin, the V-berth. There is also a separate pullman berth (bunks), a favorite with kids. There is also a separate head for the use of your crew.
